From the website: "The museums of Lviv University belong among the oldest university museums of Europe and have some of the most interesting scientifically important collections. In 2004 according to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No 73-P the scientific funds and museum exhibition of the Zoological museum of the University were brought in the register of the objects constituting a national heritage that is a unique object that cannot be restored and it is very important for the development of the science and society."
